SANTANDER
PALACE
MAIN POST AND TELEGRAPH OFFICE
The Post and Telegraph Office in Santander was inaugurated in 1927.
The project was designed by architects Eugenio Fernández Quintanilla and Secundino Zuazo Ugalde (Bilbao, 1887 – Madrid, 1971).
The building is especially significant for having survived the great fire that devastated Santander's historic centre in 1941, making it one of the architectural testimonies to that period.
