SANTANDER
PALACE
MAIN POST AND TELEGRAPH OFFICE
The Santander Post and Telegraph Office opened in 1927.
The project was designed by architects Eugenio Fernández Quintanilla and Secundino Zuazo Ugalde (Bilbao, 1887 – Madrid, 1971).
The building is especially significant for having survived the great fire that devastated Santander’s historic center in 1941, becoming one of the architectural testimonies of that era.
